MPFXLR8 Batch 3 Kicks Off in Munich

Limatica is now part of the Max Planck Foundation Start-up Accelerator

The third batch of the MPFXLR8 program officially started in Munich, bringing together returning alumni and the newest teams from the Max Planck innovation ecosystem. Hosted at the Start2 Group office, the kickoff event provided an opportunity for founders to connect, exchange experiences, and begin shaping the months ahead.

Among the new cohort, Limatica joined fellow deep-tech start-ups QuantiLight, Spark7Bio, Blue Ice Labs, Oraclase, and Shit2Power, while Batch 2 participants Histolution GmbH and red cable robots shared insights from their own journey through the program.

A highlight of the event was the keynote by Proxima Fusion CSO Jorrit Lion, who spoke about the challenges and opportunities of transforming scientific research into a scalable deep-tech business. The program also included a goal-setting workshop, where each team defined its long-term vision and key priorities for the coming months.

The day concluded with a Deep Tech Mixer, where all participating start-ups introduced their ventures in short pitches before continuing conversations during a networking session. The kickoff marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter, and we are looking forward to the journey ahead as part of the MPFXLR8 Batch 3.

We look forward to welcoming the Max Planck Foundation as a shareholder in the future!
